Range
S. Pacific Ocean and ex. sw. Atlantic Ocean;
(1) Breeds at Chatham Is. and se. New Zealand, South Island, Taiaroa Head on the Otago Peninsula near Dunedin.
(2) Breeds on Auckland (Enderby Is.) and Campbell Is.
Dispersal range is poorly known due to confusion with the Wandering Albatross, but disperses widely in s. oceans to se. Australia (Cape Howe, New South Wales to Coff's Harbor, Victoria off Portland), Tasmania, New Zealand (North and South Islands), Chile (Arica), s. Peru, Argentina, Uruguay, s. Brazil (Sao Paulo).
