Range

C. Central American mostly e. of the Andes to c. South America;
(1) S. Mexico (wc. Veracruz, Oaxaca, Chiapas, s. Campeche and Quintana Roo), El Salvador and nw. Nicaragua to Panama and nw. South America in n. Colombia. Isolated population in w. Ecuador.
(2) Venezuela, Guyana, Surinam, Guiana and n. Brazil.
(3) E. Brazil (se. Bahia).
