Range

Se. Asia, Sumatra, Java, Bali and Borneo;
Fragmented distribution;
(1) Himalayas from se. Nepal, ne. India, e. Bangladesh, s. China (Yunnan), Burma, nw. Thailand, s. to n. Malay Peninsula. The Long-billed Barbet occurs in e. India.
(2) E. Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam.
(3) Malay Peninsula, Sumatra, Bangka Is. and Borneo.
(4) Nias Is.
(5) Batu Is.
(6) Java and Bali.
