C. Africa. E. Africa. Sw. tropical Africa;
Three populations;
(1) S. Sudan, ne. to s. Zaire, Uganda, w. Kenya and n. Tanzania.
(2) N. Nigeria, n. Cameroon, s. Chad to w. Central African Republic and adjacent nw. Zaire.
(3) S. Kenya to s. Tanzania.
(4) C. Kenya.
(5) C. and sc. Tanzania.
(6) An isolated population on the plateau in sw. Angola.
