Ne. and c. South America;
Highly fragmented distribution;
At least four populations;
(1) Sw. Venezuela (w. Apure).
(2) Ne. Colombia (e. Boyaca s. to Meta and e. to Vichada), c. and s. Venezuela (Portuguesa, sw. Guarico, e. Apure, n. Amazonas and along the Rio Orinoco in Bolivar to the Delta Amacuro), w. Guyana, n. and c. Brazil along the Amazon from ex. w. Amazonas and Rio Branco and lower Rio Negro e. to e. Para and from Rio Madeira, e. and s. Mato Grosso, Goias and w. Sao Paulo), and ex. e. Bolivia (ne. Santa Cruz).
(3) C. Bolivia (e. Cochabamba and possibly s. Beni).
(4) Ne. Brazil (Piaui, w. Pernambuco and w. Bahia).
