Range

Andes of sw. and s. South America;
Two populations;
(1) Andes of c. and s. Peru (Junin to Cuzco).
(2) Andes of sw. Peru (Arequipa, Puno), w. Bolivia (w. La Paz, Oruro, Potosi), n. Chile (Tarapaca, Antofagasta), and nw. Argentina (Jujuy, Salta, Catamarca).
(3) C. Bolivia (e. slope of the Andes in La Paz and Cochabamba).
(4) Andes of nw. Argentina (Sierra de Aconquija and Cumbres Calchaquies in Tucuman and Catamarca). (5) C. and s. Chile (Andes in s. Atacama s. to Colchagua and lowlands in Aisen and n. Magallanes) and w. and s. Argentina (Andes in La Rioja and lowlands in La Pampa, and Serranias de Ventania in sw. Buenos Aires s. to Santa Cruz).
(6) W. Argentina (Cerro Famatina, La Rioja).
(7) C. Argentina (Cordoba in the Sierras Grandes and Sierra de Comechingones and ne. San Luis in the Sierra de San Luis).
