Range

C. Amazonian South America;
E. of the Andes along the Amazon River and lower reaches of it major tributaries in se. Colombia, e. Ecuador (Rio Napo), and ne. Peru s. to the lower Rion Huallaga and e. in nc. Amazonian Brazil to the mouth of the Rio Tapajos and up the Rio Madeira at least to the mouth of the Rio Ji-Parana, Rondonia.
