Ex. s. Central America and nw. South America. W. Amazon basin;
Fragmented distribution:
(1) E. Panama from e. slope in the Canal Zone and San Blas, and Pacific slope in Darien, w. and n. Colombia to Santander and along the Pacific slope s. to nw. Ecuador (Esmeraldas, sw. Imbabura and nw. Pichincha. (2) Sc. and e. Colombia s. from Meta and in Guiania and Vaupes, e. Ecuador to ne. Peru s. to Pasco and Ucayali, sw. and wc. Amazonian Brazil in ex. sw. and s. to nw. Acre, and ec. Amazonas along the Rio Solimoes.
