Range

W. Pacific Ocean;
Kermadecs (Macauley and formerly Raoul Is.).
Disperses w. into the Tasman Sea (Gascoyne Seamount) to well off the coast of ce. Australia (Queensland off Point Lookout on North Stradbroke Is. and New South Wales off Wollongong) into the nw. Pacific Ocean as far as se. of Japan and n. to Kiribati, Fiji, Cook, possibly the Marshall Is. and the Hawaiian Is. at the s. edge of the North Equatorial Current (10°N in the e. Pacific Ocean).
