Breeds on in the Juan Fernandez Is. off Chile (Mas Afuera or Alejandro Selkirk Is. on Cerro de los Inocentes).
Disperses off Chile and Peru (?) and from March to September into the e. and n. Pacific to the Hawaiian, Marshall and Kiribati (Phoenix and Line) Is. n. to the lat. of Japan and the w. United States (California).
