Range
Nearly circumpolar; S. Indian Ocean and ex. sw. Pacific Ocean; Se. Pacific Ocean and sw. Atlantic Ocean;
Two populations;
Breeds in the Falkland Is. (New, Grand Jason and Steeple Jason Is.), in ex. s. Chile (Noir Is.), Argentina (Islet of Tierra del Fuego and Staten Is.) and possibly on South Georgia Is. Crozet (East Is.), Kerguelen Is., Australia (Western Australia, South Australia and Victoria (Portland) to n. New South Wales (Wollongong)), Tasmania and New Zealand (North and South Island).
Disperses into subtropical waters off Peru (n. to Lima, Mollendo), Chile, Argentina, Uruguay and s. Brazil (n. to 24°S off Sao Paulo and Bahia), South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.
