Amazon Drainage, nc., and e. South America;
Three populations;
(1) E. of the Andes in se. Colombia, e. Ecuador, ne. Peru and w. Amazonian Brazil. An isolated small population along the Orinoco, sw. Venezuela.
(2) Ne. Brazil (Pernambuco, wc. Bahia (Correntina)).
