C. Central America to ne. South America;
Fragmented distribution;
(1) S. Mexico (s. Veracruz, . Oaxaca, n. Chiapas, s. Campeche and Quintana Roo), Caribbean slope to Honduras and on both slopes s in Nicaragua and Costa Rica to Panama.
(2) N. Colombia.
(3) N. Venezuela.
(4) S. Guyana, s. Surinam, s. Guiana and adjacent n. Brazil.
(5) Ne. Amazonian Brazil. Isolated population s. of the Amazon in ec. Brazil.
Berlepsch's Tody-flycatcher occurs in Colombia.
