Range

Se. United States to sc. Central America;
Fragmented distribution;
(1) Sw. United States (c. and sw. Arizona and sw. New Mexico), w. and c. Mexico (Chihuahua, s. Coahuila, c. Nuevo Leon and s. Tamualipas s. to the Isthmus of Tehuantepec).
N. populations winter s. to Belize, Guatemala, and El Salvador.
(2) S. Mexico mostly e. of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, Belize, Guatemala, Honduras and nc. Nicaragua.
