Range

W. and ne. South America;
Two widely separated and fragmented populations;
(1) E. slope of the Andes in Ecuador, n. and s. Peru (n. San Martin) and possibly s. Colombia.
(2) Mountains of s. Guyana to e. Amazonian Brazil (n. Para, n. Maranhao).
