Range

W. slope of Central America;
(1) W. and c. Mexico (c. Sonora, sw. Chihuahua s. in the interior and along the Pacific coast in Mexico, Morelos, Puebla, s. San Luis Potosi and Hidalgo).
(2) Mountains of Central America from s. Mexico (Oaxaca and Chiapas), Guatemala (Rio Motagua), Honduras (Choluteca Valley and Comayagua Valley), w. Nicaragua (arid slopes near Matagalpa) and nw. Costa Rica in the tropical deciduous woodlands of Guanacaste.
(3) Pacific coast of Central America s. in Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua to nw. Costa Rica.
