Range

Sc. Pacific Ocean;
Breeds in Vanuatu, Fiji, Kiribati (Phoenix and Line Is.), Kiritimati (Christmas Is.), Austral (Tubuai and Rapa Is.), Marquesas, Gambier, and possibly Samoa (Sala-y-Gomez).
Limited dispersal throughout the wc. Pacific n. to the Marshall Is. and along the South Equatorial Current towards the e. Pacific.
