Iceland. N. Europe from the Faroes Is., and British Isles to Scandinavia e. across Russia to w. and c. Siberia to the Lena River, Lake Baikal and Sayan Mountains then s. to France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, nc. Greece and the Ukraine.
Winters in Iceland, s. Europe (Mediterranean region), n. Africa and Near East to the Caucasus Mounatains.
