Ne. Asia and c. China;
Two populations;
Se. Siberia (e. Transbaicalia, Amurland, Ussuriland), nc. and ne. China (s. Shensi, e. Manchuria, Heilungkiang, e. Szechwan), Korea and Japan.
Winters in se. Asia, Taiwan, Malaya, and Greater Sundas (Sumatra and Java).
