W. Europe and nw. Africa to c. Asia;
(1) Azores and Cape Verde Is.
(2) Canary Is. (Madeira) and w. and s. Iberian Peninsula, and probably Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia.
(3) W. Europe from the British Isles and s. Scandinavia to w. Russia.
Winters in nw. and e. Africa (Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia).
(4) C. Russia to the upper Irtysh River, Turkey, Near East s. to Israel, Caucasus, n. and w. Iran.
Winters in e. Africa.
(5) E. Spain, Balearic Is., Corsica, Sardinia, Sicily, c. and s. Italy, and probably Tunisia.
