Range

S. Europe, Canary Is., Cape Verde Is., Madiera, and nw. Africa;
Four populations;
(1) S. Europe (Mediterranean Basin from Spain to Italy, Sardinia, Corsica, Sicily, Malta, Cyprus), n. Africa in Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia, Near East and probably n. Egypt.
Winters in India, Egypt and w. Africa.
(2) Canary Is. and Cape Verde Is.
(3) Madeira.
