Fragmented distribution in the n. part of its range;
(1) Lake Chad in w. Chad.
(2) Ne. Zaire, se. Sudan, Uganda and w. Kenya.
(3) Nw. Ethiopia (Lake Tana).
(4) Ethiopia to Kenya, Tanzania, s. Zaire, Zambia, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and e. South Africa (e. Transvaal and coastal Natal).
(5) Highlands of sw. Ethiopia, s. Somalia, Kenya, n. Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi.
(6) Sw. Angola to n. Namibia, n. Botswana, sw. Zambia and w. Zimbabwe. Nigeria?
