Range

E. Siberia to n. Japan and c. China;
Two populations;
W. of the Ural Mountains and Altai Mountains n. to Arctic Circle and e. to Anadyrland and Kamchatka. Mongolia, c. and ne. China, the Kuril Is. And n. Japan (Hokkaido).
During migration in s. China (Mai Po Marsh, Hong Kong).
Winters in Taiwan, Philippines, Palau and Indochina.
