Range

W. and c. Africa;
Three populations;
(1) Sw. Senegambia (Gambia and Basse Casamance), Guinea-Bissau, w. Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia, s. Ivory Coast, and s. Ghana.
(2) Sw., s., and c. Nigeria, s. Cameroon, s. Central African Republic, , Gabon, Congo, sw. and c. Zaire (e. to upper Uele, Ituri, and Kasai), and n. Angola (Cabinda se. to Lunda Norte).
