(1) Finland, nw. and e. Russia n. to the Arctic Circle and e. across c. and s. Siberia to the Sea of Okhotsk, Kamchatka and Commander Is. then s. to sw. Siberia (Altai Mountains), n. Mongolia, ne. China (Manchuria), Kuril Is. and n. Japan (Hokkaido s. to c. Honshu).
Winters to s. China, Taiwan, and Greater Sundas.
(2) Afghanistan, n. Pakistan and nw. India.
(3) Himalayas of se. Tibet to c. China and Burma.
Winters in Burma and Indochina.
