Fragmented distribution in Arabia;
(1) Mauritania, Senegambia, Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger, n. Nigeria, Cameroon to Lake Chad area, Central African Republic, n. and c. Sudan, n. Ethiopia, Eritrea Djibouti, and n. Somalia.
(2) Coastal wc. Saudi Arabia s. to Yemen and Aden.
