S. and e. tropical Africa;
Fragmented distribution in ne. range;
(1) Ne. Zaire, s. Uganda, Burundi, s. Somalia, Kenya, Tanzania (including Mafia Is.), Malawi and n. Mozambique.
(2) Angola to Zambia, n. and e. Zimbabwe.
(3) S. Mozambique and se. Africa (e. Transvaal and Natal).
