Nw. and n. Australia, and se. New Guinea;
Three populations;
Cs. and se. New Guinea between Oriomo River and the Fly River and e. from Port Moresby. N. Australia from nw. Western Australia (Denham Lagoon on the Peron Peninsula, New Beach, Point Samson, Derby and shores of Cambridge Gulf w. of Wyndham) from Shark Bay e. through n. Northern Territory to to nw. Queensland (Normanton area) in the Normanton area.
