Range

Nw. Indian Ocean in the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman and occasionally in the Gulf of Aden and Red Sea;
Breeds on is. off se. Arabia in the nw. Persian Gulf (Umn al Maradim, Qaruh, Kurayn, Arabiya, Zakhnuniyah Samamik off Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, the Howar Is. off Qatar, Sheedvar Is. and possibly the Farisiya Is. off s. Iran, Halul al Ashat, Shara'awk Is. and Abu Dhabi and Az Zarqa off the Trucial Coast of the United Arab Emirates) and possibly on is. off Dhofar, Oman (Kuria Muria Group) and the Gulf of Aden (Baraqa, South Yemen) and Socotra Is.
Disperses to the coasts of Ethiopia, Somalia, se. Iraq, s. Iran, w. India and into the s. Red Sea, Gulf of Aden and Gulf of Oman.
