Range

C. and e. Australia;
Ex. cw. Western Australia, sw. and ne. Northern Territory, nw. to e. South Australia, interior Queensland (Mitchell River), interior New South Wales (Round Hill Nature Reserve) and Victoria (Chiltern State Forests, Big Desert Wilderness Park, Wyperfield National Park and Hattah-Kulkyne National Park). Breeds irregularly on King Is. in Bass Strait and n. Tasmania.
Disperses to sc. Western Australia, n. Northern Territory, South Australia and coastal e. Australia.
