Senegambia, s. Mauritania, Guinea-Bissau, Guinea, Sierra Leone, s. Mali, Burkina Faso, Liberia (where it is possibly introduced), s. Niger, n. Ivory Coast, Ghana, Togo, Benin, Nigeria, Cameroon, Central African Republic, s. Chad, s. Sudan, sw. Ethiopia, Uganda and w. Kenya.
