Ex. sw. United States in s. California, s. Nevada, s. Utah, nw. and c. New Mexico, w. Oklahoma s. to c. and se. Arizona, s. New Mexico, w. Texas and nw. Mexico (nw. Baja and nw. Coahuila).
Winters s. to wc. Mexico (Baja, Sonora, Durango). Many birds remain in winter range for most of the year.
