E. Mexico (Nuevo Leon, s. Veracruz, Tabasco, Chiapas, Yucatan, Quintana Roo), Belize (Crooked Tree Wildlife Sanctuary), n. Guatemala (Lake Peten Itza only), n. Honduras, Costa Rica (Westfalia, s. of Limon, Gulfo Dulce, Peninsula de Osa), Panama (Canal Zone, Pipeline Road, Barro Colorado Is., Darien), Colombia, w. of the Andes to nw. Ecuador, e. of the Andes in Venezuela, Trinidad (Caroni and Nariva Swamps), Guyana, Surinam, Guiana, e. Ecuador, n. and e. Peru, w. Amazonian Brazil (Amazonas and headwaters of rivers flowing n. and s. from the Mato Grosso, Rio Paraguai drainage), n. and e. Bolivia (Beni, Santa Cruz).
