Range
Nc. China;
Ex. restricted range;
C. China (Qinling Mountains near Xian in s. Shansi and Yang Zian Reserve, Shanghai Province). A captive breeding program was attempted in Japan off the w. coast of Honshu on Sado Is., but the last bird in this program died in 2002. Formerly found in Korea during the winter and spring (two birds seen in the demilitarized zone n. of Seoul in February 1966), ex. se. Siberia (Amurland).
