Range

N., c. and e. South America;
Two populations;
(1) C. and s. Brazil, e. Bolivia (Santa Cruz, Cochabamba), Paraguay, Uruguay (Tacurembo) to n. Argentina (Tucuman, Santiago del Estero, Chaco, Santa Fe, Entre Rios, n. Buenos Aires and mountains of Cordoba).
(2) E. Panama (vicinity of Pacora and San Jose), c. and e. Colombia (mostly in more remote regions, Magdalena Valley, s. to Valle del Cauca s. to w. slope of Patia Valley (Rio Pasto) and e. of the Andes s. to Meta and Rio Guaviare), n. and c. Venezuela s. to Apure and Bolivar, Guyana, Surinam(?), Guiana and Brazil (w. Bahia, Correntina) s. to the Pantanal and Mato Grosso.
