Ex. s. South America; Falkland Is.;
Restricted range;
Two populations;
Falkland Is. (mostly on West Falkland Is.).
Formerly (?) breed n. to ca. 52°S in s. Chile (Magellanes to Cape Horn) and s. Argentina (Santa Cruz to Tierra del Fuego).
Winters n. to ca. 37°S.
