Range

C. and e. tropical South America;
(1) E. Colombia from Arauca and Vichada to s. Meta to c. Venezuela (Orinoco Basin, Tachira, Rio Apure and its tributaries, Apure, Barinas, Guarico and Bolivar), Guyana, Surinam, Guiana, e. Ecuador, e. Peru and Brazil (Bahia, Chapada Diamantina) s. to c. Mato Grosso and Rio de Janeiro.
(2) S. Brazil, e. half of Bolivia (Beni, Santa Cruz, Tarija), Paraguay, Uruguay and ne. Argentina s. to Cordoba, Santa Fe, Entre Rios and n. Buenos Aires.
