Range

Ex. sw. United States;
Restricted range;
C. coastal range of California, Lion Canyon of Los Padres National Forest.
Reintroduced into the Vermilion Cliffs area of n. Arizona. Prime viewing site: 3 miles off US 89A, which is one mile from Vermillion Cliffs.
Last reported from Oregon in the 1830's and from San Diego County and Baja in the 1930's.
