Fragmented distribution;
(1) S. Sudan, s. Ethiopia in highlands of Uganda and Kenya s. to Rwanda, Burundi, e. Zaire, ne. and sc. Tanzania and Malawi.
(2) S. and e. South Africa (n. and e. Transvaal, Drakensberg Escarpment of s. Natal, s. and sw. Cape Province to Geroge and Knysna).
