(1) W., cs. and s. United States from sw. Washington, nw. Oregon s. through California to nw. Mexico (nw. Baja). S. Arizona to w. Mexico (Nayarit). Locally in sc. United States in se. Kansas, s. Oklahoma, w. Louisiana, ec. and se. Texas and e. Mexico (Tamaulipas and Chiapas) along both slopes of Central America to Costa Rica and Panama. Locally in se. United States in s. Mississippi and from South Carolina to s. Florida.
(2) N. South America from Colombia, n. and se. Venezuela n. of the Orinoco and in se. Bolivar, Guyana, Surinam and ex. n. Brazil (Roraima, Bahia (Chapada Diamantina)). N. and e. Bolivia (Beni, Santa Cruz, Chuquisaca, Tarija), s. and e. Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay to c. Chile from Atacama to Valdivia and c. Argentina s. to Mendoza and Buenos Aires.
