Niger, Lake Chad area, Central African Republic, s. Sudan, Uganda, Burundi, Kenya (coast s. of Mombasa, Tana River to Meru NP, Lake Jipe-Taveta and Tsavo River), Tanzania, Pemba Is., Malawi, Mozambique, Zambia, n. Namibia, n. Botswana and ne. South Africa (Transvaal, Natal and e. Cape Province).
