Nw. to s. South America;
Colombia (Cundinamarca, Narino, Putumayo), w. and e. Ecuador, Peru s. to Puno, c. and sw. Bolivia (La Paz, Cochabamba, Santa Cruz, Oruro), Chile and at lower elevations in Paraguay, ex. s. Brazil (Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul), Uruguay, Argentina (Tierra del Fuego) and the Falkland Is.
