Range

W. Africa; W. c. Africa;
Two populations;
(1) Senegambia, sw. Mali, Guinea-Bissau, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Togo, Benin, s. Niger and s. Nigeria to w. Cameroon.
(2) Fernando Po Is. (Bioko Is.).
(3) S. Cameroon and Gabon in the lower Zaire River Basin.
(4) N. and ce. Zaire in the upper Zaire River Basin, Central African Republic, Uganda and ex. s. Sudan.
