Range

Islands off n. Africa and in Mediterranean Basin;
Island populations;
Canary Is. and nw. Morocco (Essaouira Archipelago) to Tunisia and is. of the Mediterranean basin including the Balearic Is. (Parc Natural de la Peninsula de Llevant, Mallorca and Parc Natural de Cala d'Hort, Ibiza), Lemos, n. Sporades, Cyclades, Dodecanese, Crete and Cyprus, is. off the coast of Italy and Greece in the Aegean Sea.
Winters mainly in Madagascar, ec. Africa (Kenya in c. highlands) and the Mascarene Is. (Reunion).
