Nc. Western Australia (along the Great Northern Highway between Kununurra and Derby, Broome Bird Observatory, New Haven Station on the e. edge of the Great Sandy Desert) s. from c. Northern Territory (along the Stuart Highway between Katherine and Alice Springs, and Simpson's Gap) to inland Queensland, New South Wales (Sturt National Park), nw. Victoria and South Australia (along dry streambeds in the Birdsville Tract and Strzelecki Track).
