Range

C. Central America to nw. South America;
Fragmented distribution in n. part of range;
(1) E. Mexico from San Luis Potosi, s. Tamaulipas, Veracruz, Oaxaca and Yucatan Peninsula s. along both slopes through Belize (Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary, Chan Chich Lodge), Guatemala, El Salvador, Hounduras and Nicaragua to Costa Rica (Rara Avis, La Selva Biological Station), Panama (Darien), w. Colombia and w. Ecuador.
(2) Cozumel Is.
