(1) Sw. Honshu, Kyushu, and Shikoku.
(2) Ec. Honshu (Izu and Miura Peninsulas), Seven Islands of Izu (Oshima and Niijima), and is. off s. Kyushu (Goto, Tanega-shima, Yaku-shima).
(3) N. and c. Honshu and Sado Is.
Introduced to Hawaii.
