Range

E. and s. Africa;
Fragmented distribution with three main populations;
Ethiopia and Somalia. Zaire, Zambia, Malawi and sw. Tanzania, c. and e. Zimbabwe and Mozambique. Three isolated populations in se. Angola, ne. Namibia (Okavango Delta) and n. Botswana, and South Africa (se. Transvaal (Wakkerstroom), e. Orange Free State, w. Natal and e. Cape Province).
