Range

N. India. Indochina. N. Australia.
Three main populations;
(1) Pakistan (Sind and Punjab), n. India from Kashmir s. to Gujarat, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and n. Andhra Pradesh, Nepal, sw. China, Bangladesh and the plains of Burma and Thailand.
(2) Ne. and s. Cambodia (Trapeang Thmar, n. plain in Chhep District of Preah Vihear Province, Koh Andeth and Borey Chulsar Districts of Tekeo Province) and s. Laos.
Migration stop-over site in Lo Go Sa Mat National Park in Vietnam.
Dry season in Vietnam (Tram Chim National Park, Dong Thop Privince and Kien Gieng Province in the Mekong Delta).
(3) Coastal n. Australia (Ord River in Western Australia and n. Queensland from lower Cape York Peninsula s. to Atherton Tableland in Hasties Swamp and along the Matilda Highway between Normanton and Karumba in the Gulf country).
(4) Formerly in the Philippines (n. and c. Luzon).
