Range

Tropical South America;
Two main populations and several small isolated populations;
Se. Colombia, s. Venezuela, Trinidad, Guyana, Surinam, Guiana, e. Ecuador and ne. Peru through n. and c. Brazil (c. and e. Bahia (Salvador, Rio Jequitionha in Itapebi, the bare hills of Chapeu), n. and e. Bolivia. Paraguay to ex. ne. Argentina (Formosa). Ex. se. Brazil.
